Anti-Racist Catskills
Our vision is to foster a safe & welcoming environment for the BIPOC and AAPI community that live in and visit the Catskills Mountain Region and surrounding counties. We also recognize the intersectionality of race, ethnicity, gender, religious affiliation and sexual orientation and advocate for a safe & welcoming community for all.
Bushel Collective
Founded in 2015, Bushel is a nonprofit, volunteer-run, interdisciplinary collective dedicated to growing community and discourse through programming in the arts, agriculture, ecology, and action. Located on Main Street in Delhi, New York (pop. 5,117), Bushel is an exploration of the relationships and conversations that can be forged in a low-population area by offering a space for exhibitions, readings, musical performances, film screenings, discussions, meetings, co-working, classes and workshops, swaps and skills shares, and other as-yet unexplored happenings. Inspired by both traditional rural meeting places and non-traditional storefront experiments, Bushel remains unwritten, indeterminate, and open-ended.
Catskills Unity
Catskills Unity is a messaging campaign to express our shared commitment to building a strong, unified community dedicated to safety and equity for all of us who live, work, and attend school in the northwestern Catskills. Together we convey this message through our statement of solidarity, vibrant logo, and array of visual signage.
Fair for All
The Fair for All campaign was launched in 2017 as a way to challenge the on-going sale of racist paraphernalia at the Delaware County Fair in Walton, NY. Since the group's inaugural press conference, involvement has expanded, and countless supporters have shared their stories of racism in all corners of the state. Our fight is no longer just a local one – Fair for All is committed to challenging the normalization of white supremacy at public family events state-wide. [Get Woke! Sponsor]
Living Archive Project
The Living Archive Project is a multidisciplinary collaboration between artists, community members, and organizations throughout the Northern Catskills. The project aims to enrich and rethink rural tradition and enable transformation through an inclusive representation of the histories of people living in the area through storytelling practices.
Otsego Pride Alliance
The mission of Otsego Pride Alliance is to support, raise awareness, and create understanding of the LGBTQIA+ community and its needs in the Otsego County area. We work to foster open-mindedness and the creation of safe places for members of the community, allies, friends, and family to express themselves freely. By recognizing the full spectrum of sexual orientation and gender identity we seek to promote an environment in which all feel welcome. To these ends we engage in community outreach, activism, and other activities including an annual Pridefest.
